introspect

I just can’t speak to those,
Who can’t speak the proper English you know.
But he still is able to convey his thought?
Right. But that’s not all;
One surely must know what grammar is all about.

Ya. But what do you think language is all about.
Wasn’t it made so that we could convey our thoughts?
And that’s what it really is all about.
Then why insist on the proper flow.
It would still convey the same thought you know.

  2. Haha yeah, I taught English as a second language for two years and (I believe) I was well trained and part of that training stressed "fluency" (basically being able to get your opinion across) over "accuracy" (grammatical/pronunciation). Being "accurate" is great but being "fluent" is what is really important.

  3. surkhi @ thank you ...
    Lynnelle @ would you agree that there could be different levels of fluency ?? so does one who is more fluent have any reason to look down on the one less fluent( i am assuming here that he is enough fluent so as to get across his point )
